...Over a week (in Jever) or over three days (in Varel). An intensive time in which you focus on your instrument or your voice—alone and with other ambitious musicians in a combo.
This is where new contacts and musical experiences are made that will be remembered for a long time.

...brings brilliant musicians from the European and US jazz scene to Jever throughout the year. Many concerts feature Jazz Academy participants, including a masterclass with the evening's headliner and a supporting performance.

… are a team of outstanding, internationally renowned musicians
under the direction of a prominent artistic director, the pianist Klaus IgnatzekInstruction is given on the instruments of a classic jazz quintet: piano, bass, drums, wind instruments, and vocals. During the course, the instructors will give a concert, to which participants are naturally invited.

Sessions ...
...allows for experimentation. On various evenings and at various locations in our historic old town, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a session with other musicians or simply listen. On the final evening of the course, the participants' concert, the stage belongs to the workshop bands.
Board & Lodging
Even those on a tight budget can enjoy this training. Jever, for example, offers a variety of accommodation options, from youth hostels and hotels to private landlords and couch providers. We also provide a shared lunch at our workshops.
